My Dec'08 Long Island Visit

My consulting project brought me out to Long Island for the first 2 weeks in December. With the extended stay, I was afforded a small window of opportunity to see some old friends.

Here are some pics:

My Long Island Visit - Aug 2008

It has been a very long time since I have visited HOME. Despite being in Washington for 7.5 years and Texas for 3 years, neither ever feels like home. So...it was great to be back. Traffic wasn't as bad as I remember it. Maybe it has improved, or perhaps I've mellowed out. I remembered my way around like I never left.

I miss the views of the water and being close to family. I stayed with Gary & Cynthia and was *finally* was able to meet Alexander (4) & Nicholas (2). I also spent some quality time with Vito, Anna Marie and Aunt Francis.

And...in case you're wondering...YES...Gary still smells and looks funny.

Wilson's Photo Shoot

Wilson was looking so comfortable in the family room today I just had to take some pictures.

Scroll down to 4th and last photo to see his response when I asked him to "smile for the camera!"

DOH!

Austin Critters - Part 3

It's been a while since I've posted one of these. Ryan spotted this one out in front of our neighbors home. I have no idea what kind of snake it is. I'm guessing some kind of Garter Snake. Watch the video to see how nasty this thing is.
